Role Summary

To strengthen our software development team at Technology Centre in Gdañsk, we are looking for MS Windows software engineer who is a passionate and resourceful team player, capable of imagination and clear thinking. As part of our Computer Software team, the accepted candidates will participate in software projects working together with experienced engineers from Gdañsk and other Technology Centers in United States.

Essential responsibilities

• Works closely with project team to identify development tasks related to requirements and provides estimates. Accountable for delivery of code, unit tests code coverage and technical documentation input
• Writes and maintains MS Windows Software
• Writes functional specifications based on supplied customer requirements
• Updates and maintains product documentation in collaboration with technical writers
• Communicates status, task issues, risks, difficulties and timeline constraints to key project stakeholders as they arise

Qualifications/Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Stored procedures development: PL-SQL (Oracle) and T-SQL (MS SQL Server)
• Experience of .Net/C# programming
• Practical knowledge of fourth-generation programming languages; PowerBuilder preferred
• Very good command of spoken and written English
• Strong ability to communicate freely in English in phone conversations or face-to-face meetings
• Proven facilitation, analytical and creative problem solving orientation
• Successful candidate must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills

Desired Characteristics

• Experience of Windows Communication Foundation or Windows Presentation
• Foundation would be advantageous
• Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (design)
• Experience in Security Systems business
